Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega Get Mixed Up in Crime in Netflix’s ‘Big Mistakes’ Trailer

If committing a crime is bad enough, what happens when one is spectacularly terrible at it, too? That is exactly what seems to happen in Dan Levy’s upcoming series, Big Mistakes. The first crime thriller, developed under Levy’s television deal with Netflix, follows siblings who find themselves flirting with the wrong side of the rules. After weeks of anticipation and clever promotional tricks, Netflix has finally dropped the first trailer.
And if the first glimpse of the series is any indication, chaos, dark humor, and plenty of drama are on the way.

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Big Mistakes, where Dan Levy and Taylor Ortega play siblings Nicky and Morgan, who get pulled into the world of crime after a “misguided theft” for their grandmother. Throughout the trailer, the battered and bruised siblings are seen dealing with dangerous people and tasks. However, as the siblings are not equipped to handle the mess, chaos quickly follows them.

The series is set to have 8 episodes, each running for 30 minutes. Abby Quinn, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum, Elizabeth Perkins, Ilia Volok, Joe Barbara, and more are also part of the cast. Apart from starring in the series, Levy is also the creator and executive producer of the show alongside Rachel Sennott. And much like its premise, Big Mistakes also revealed its release date in a rather chaotic fashion.
Perhaps to build hype for Big Mistakes, Netflix pulled off a clever billboard stunt that quickly caught attention.
Netflix’s billboard stunt for Big Mistakes
Ahead of the show’s release, Netflix put up a mysterious Sunset Boulevard billboard teasing Big Mistakes. It featured a diamond necklace spelling “4.9.26,” and later an AR clip showed the necklace being “stolen.” Finally, selfies from stars including Dan Levy, Laurie Metcalf, and Taylor Ortega revealed them wearing the stolen piece, playfully teasing the plot.

The stunt also revealed the show’s release date, which is set for April 9, 2026. This is Levy’s second original series after the Emmy-winning Schitt's Creek. And after creating excitement for a while, it is clearly one of the most anticipated shows of the upcoming month.
