The 2020–2021 K-drama phenomenon True Beauty is finally heading to Netflix, and viewers will not have to wait long as the title lands on the platform on December 11. Until now, the show could only be found on Viki and Amazon Prime Video, so its Netflix debut is a significant moment for longtime and new audiences alike. With Moon Ga-young, Cha Eun-woo, Hwang In-youp, Park Yoo-na, and Jang Hye-jin leading the cast, the 16-episode romantic comedy became one of the most adored lighthearted watches during lockdown.
True Beauty follows Lim Ju-kyung, an insecure high-school girl whose world turns around when she learns the art of makeup and becomes a people’s favorite instantly, even gaining popularity at school. However, behind her newfound confidence lies her biggest fear: Being seen without makeup. The only person who knows her real face is Lee Soo-ho, a seemingly cold boy who is far kinder than he lets on. As they slowly forge a connection, an unexpectedly tender love begins. This K-drama is not the only one set for a Netflix release next month, though.
A new offering from the ever-beloved K-drama world is set to debut on the streamer alongside its television network release.
