The Oscars 2023 is finally here. While the night is awaited by cinemagoers to watch their favorite movies get awarded, it is also recognized as an event where “Angela Bassett did the thing!“. A saying as old as time is, “Be careful who you call your friend,” but perhaps a good rendition is you are Angela Bassett would be, “be careful who you call to be your plus one at the Oscars red carpet,” because her plus one has once again managed to steal the show with their outpouring support.

The actress was a sight for sore eyes as she made her way through the Oscars red carpet. This time, although Ariana DeBose was not present to shout out that Angela Bassett has in fact done the thing once again, her husband made sure that she felt like the main character.

While it is too early to say, Bassett did have what one could consider a winner’s glow as she walked hand in hand with her husband Courtney B. Vance. There was a plethora of reporters and photographers to snap the actress in her stunning outfit, but looks like her husband could not trust anyone but himself for his lady. He mimicked a pro photographer as he tilted his phone to get the perfect angle that would do justice to his wife’s beauty. Although he did not say “You’re doing amazing sweetie,” in Kris Jenner’s voice, it was clear in his eyes.

The actress looked stunning in a purple gown with a tried and tested choice of jewelery: the snake necklace.
