Park officials verified that the necessary permits were issued for production to occupy the historic forests surrounding the Eremo di Camaldoli.

“As the authority that issued one of the necessary permits, we can confirm your report, as the filming in question is currently taking place in the Camaldoli area,” the park authority clarified the query of The Florentine. 

This lush, secluded region provides the perfect atmospheric backdrop for the stealth-based storytelling the franchise is known for. Issue 1492 of Production Weekly indicate that the cameras began rolling in Rome on March 9, 2026, marking the start of an extensive shoot. The production is expected to span seven months, with a projected wrap date of October 16, 2026.
