As anticipation builds for Netflix’s adaptation of Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You, star Britt Lower is offering new insight into both the thriller and her character. Best known for her acclaimed performance in the TV show Severance, Lower takes on a very different role in the upcoming mystery. During a recent appearance with Jordan Klepper, Lower opened up about her upcoming Netflix thriller, and described journalism and acting as spiritual cousins.

Britt Lower recently talked about her upcoming Netflix thriller, I Will Find You, on The Daily Show. In the film, she plays a journalist who teams up with a fugitive to find his missing son. Reflecting on the role, the Severance star explained why she thinks journalism and acting are similar professions.
“I do feel like journalism and acting they're sort of spiritual cousins. There's a shared DNA, right? Your job and our job is to really deeply listen and to find the humanity in people's stories,” Lower said during the interview, which was uploaded on YouTube.
While discussing the same on The Daily Show, Lower also explained her approach to the character and the qualities that attracted her to the role. She further revealed that her character was a hands-on reporter. Therefore, she worked closely with the prop department to develop an authentic persona, including a camera, recorder, and notebook. The actress also joked that she observed host Jordan Klepper a lot to prepare for the role.
