After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone made their mark in Hollywood, now it&#8217;s time for another Bollywood starlet to make an entry into the English language movie industry. Netflix announced on Tuesday, that Alia Bhatt will be joining Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the movie, Heart of Stone. The news came right in the heels of Alia&#8217;s massively successful movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

<h2>Heart of Stone: The international Spy thriller </h2>
Netflix grabbed the rights to the movie in January 2021. Not much is known about the plot as of yet: Even Alia&#8217;s role is under wraps. According to <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/03/bollywood-superstar-alia-bhatt-gal-gadot-netflixs-heart-of-stone-1234972452/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deadline</a>, Tom Harper will be behind scenes, directing every shot. Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder penned the Heart of Stone script. It is a joint production among, Mockingbird, Pilot Wave, and Skydance. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bonnie Curtis, Don Granger, Jaron Varsano, Julie Lynn, and Gadot are all credited as producers. Rucka, Patty Whitcher, and Harper are serving as executive producers.

<h2>Who is Alia Bhatt? </h2>
Alia Bhatt is one of the leading ladies of Bollywood. The young actress comes from a film family. Her father Mahesh Bhatt is an acclaimed director and her sister Pooja Bhatt was a popular 90s actress. She debuted with Student of The Year at the ripe age of 19. The 28-year-old has a string of hits in her kitty and four Filmfare Awards to her name. Her latest with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiwadi, was the biggest non-holiday opener in India since the pandemic. The film first premiered at The Berlin Film Festival before releasing in the theaters. 
She essays the real-life character of Gangubai Kamathipura, a prostitute who rose to dizzying heights in the Mumbai mafia world.

Her previously acclaimed works include Gully Boy and Highway, both of which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. Gully Boy was India&#8217;s official entry at the 2020 Oscars. Enjoying one of the highest following on Instagram (60 million followers), the actress has a bunch of movies in the pipeline. Her next big project with Aryan Mukherjee, also stars her real-life boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor. She will also star alongside Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani next. Besides acting, the diva will also dons the hat of a producer for her upcoming film, Darlings.
