Blue Eye Samurai will formally conclude with a third and final season, according to Netflix. A new trailer and first looks for Blue Eye Samurai season 2 were among the several future shows that Netflix unveiled at Anime NYC. In addition, the streamer hinted at an "epic conclusion production announcement" for the show in a press release given to the media.
Co-creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green enthusiastically announced the news of Blue Eye Samurai season 2 in a joint statement in December 2023. And as season 2 is almost ready to make its debut, Netflix revealed that season 3 will be the show's ultimate resolution, bringing Mizu's epic journey to an end. Season 3, which is scheduled for release in 2028, is now in production.

During Japan's closed-border policy, Blue Eye Samurai follows Mizu, a half-white, half-Japanese warrior who poses as a man in order to track down four white males who are living in Japan illegally. She seeks retribution on one of these men, whom she believes to be her father, for turning her into a "creature of shame." As news of her journey's end is planned with a third season, as per the Netflix press release (via Ground News), fans can look forward to not just one, but two more seasons of the Emmy-winning adult animation.
As Mizu (Maya Erskine) continues her quest for vengeance and sails for London, the teaser for the upcoming installment provides fans with a glimpse of her next adventure.

According to the official summary for Blue Eye Samurai season 2, Mizu's m******** quest continues in London in the upcoming season, as she encounters her own demons, old enemies, and new acquaintances. Ringo (Masi Oka) looks for a new purpose as Akemi (Brenda Song) and Taigen (Darren Barnet) negotiate Edo Castle under a frightening new shogun in Japan.

In addition to Erskine, George Takei (Seki), Masi Oka (Ringo), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (The Swordmaker), Brenda Song (Akemi), Darren Barnet (Taigen), Randall Park (Heiji Shindo), and Kenneth Branagh (Abijah Fowler) are anticipated to be in the second season. The second season is set to release in January 2027, while season 3 will debut the year after.
