“Lead actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-i, who gained great popularity by showing off their bromance in Season 1, will also join Season 2. ‘Bloodhounds’ Season 2 is scheduled to begin filming in the second half of this year.” This confirmation from local Korean media, first reported by journalist Kim Hyeon-Seok, marked the long-awaited green light for a continuation of the story.
While early news was relatively light on specifics beyond the core cast’s return, the announcement underscored that Netflix and the series’ production team were committed to expanding this action-drama universe. According to Sports Seoul, filming began in September 2024 and continued through subsequent months. Production detials have remained under the wraps but it is gearing up for a Netflix release sometime in the second quarter of 2026.
With the production wheels now in motion and a release window finally in sight, the next big question for fans is simple: who is stepping back into the ring?
The cast of Bloodhounds Season 2
So far, Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi are confirmed to reprise their roles as Kim Geon-woo and Hong Woo-jin, the central duo whose bond and fighting prowess were pivotal in Season 1.
