'Big Mistakes' on Netflix: Meet the Stars Behind Dan Levy’s Latest Crime Comedy Show

Dan Levy is back with yet another explosive crime thriller on Netflix, and the excitement around it is through the roof. Nearly six years after creating the sitcom Schitt's Creek and starring as David Rose, Levy will return to the screen as a priest and part-time thief. But this time, he is returning with even more trouble, chaos, and mistakes, along with a new family and a sibling. 

So before the show arrives on screen, here is a closer look at the cast who will be joining Levy for his second project under his deal with Netflix. 

Meet Dan Levy’s new family in Big Mistakes

Categorized as a comedy show, Big Mistakes will center around siblings Nicky and Morgan, who are described as "deeply incapable." As they get pulled into the systematic underworld, there has been a seemingly perfect set of faces chosen to distinguish the characters playing this particular trope: 

Dan Levy as Nicky: He will play the role of a queer pastor in the series. He previously starred in Schitt's Creek and was the co-creator of the show.

Taylor Ortega as Morgan: Ortega has previously appeared in Kim Possible and Succession. She will play the role of Nicky’s sister, Morgan, in Big Mistakes.

Laurie Metcalf as Linda: Metcalf is well known for her roles in The Conners and Lady Bird. 

Boran Kuzum as Yusuf: Boran Kuzum is a Turkish actor who joined the show. He previously starred in Thank You, Next and Doom of Love. 

Abby Quinn as Natalie: Quinn is an actor and singer-songwriter. She is known for her performance in Knock at the Cabin and Hell of a Summer. 

Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds) as Annette

Joe Barbara (Just in Time) as Mike

Josh Fadem (Better Call Saul) as Ashley

Mark Ivanir (Emilia Pérez)

Jacob Gutierrez (Dear Edward) as Tareq

Big Mistakes which will follow the chaotic siblings as they plunge into the criminal underworld, facing dangerous tasks after one “misguided” theft spirals out of control, as seen in the first new trailer dropped on March 13, 2026. Ahead of the drop, Levy, Metcalf, and Ortega also took part in the mysterious Netflix promotional stunt that revealed the show’s release date.

Release date of Big Mistakes

Along with the trailer drop for Dan Levy’s Big Mistakes, Netflix also revealed the show’s release date, which is set for April 9, 2026. But before the announcement, the streaming giant sparked curiosity by putting up a billboard on Sunset Boulevard featuring a mysterious necklace engraved with the numbers 4.9.26. The cryptic detail did not mean much at first until an AR clip later showed the necklace being “stolen.”

Soon after, selfies surfaced showing cast members Dan Levy, Laurie Metcalf, and Taylor Ortega wearing the stolen necklace. Perhaps that is the first mistake of the siblings in Big Mistakes. Though the truth will only be revealed when the show arrives in April.
