There could be a new heist in town soon! After three years, the hit Money Heist spin-off series, Berlin is finally returning with a new chapter this year. The follow-up series, Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine, is set to bring back the familiar cast while introducing intriguing new characters as the gang heads to the city of Seville for yet another risky heist. 

With anticipation higher than ever, here is everything to know about the cast, plot, and release date of the upcoming heist series.

Back in 2023, Berlin followed the gang as they pulled off a massive jewelry heist. While the follow-up series sees the crew returning for yet another heist, this time they also have a secret revenge plan in motion. Their mission revolves around stealing the famous painting, The Lady with an Ermine, by Leonardo da Vinci.

At the same time, Berlin's real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, who tried to blackmail him, and now he wants them to pay the price. But carrying out the dangerous plan could force the crew to risk everything. While the mission is clear, who are the new and familiar faces in the upcoming show?

Interestingly, although the show is a follow-up to Berlin and will return with the same cast, it is not labeled as season 2. While the Money Heist spin-off series is rebranded as Berlin and the Jewels of Paris, the follow-up is named Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine. The new shift away from the season 1 and 2 format also suggests that one can watch the newest series even if they have not watched Berlin.

But when will the show arrive on Netflix?

The long and painfully exhausting wait is finally over after three years. Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15, 2026. The eight-episode drama comes from the same creative minds behind the original series. The show has been written by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato alongside David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, Itziar Sanjuán, Humberto Ortega, and Luis Garrido Julve.

Meanwhile, directors Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and José Manuel Cravioto have helmed the series. With a brilliant cast and creative team behind the series, the expectation is higher ever more. Whether the show manages to meet the expectations remains to be seen.
