The drama escalates from the very first episode, when a fight between Josh and his wife, Lindsay, is witnessed by two onlookers, Austin and Ashley. Ashley secretly records the incident and later uses the video to blackmail Josh. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Josh has been embezzling money to support his family in Cuba.
However, when Ashley and Austin unknowingly bring the matter to Chairwoman Park’s attention, the situation spirals further for him, even though he gets to keep his job. Eventually, it is exposed that Chairwoman Park had bought the club only to clean the illegal money that was used to save her husband, Dr. Kim, after he killed a patient. The game of deception, secrets, and blackmail reaches a boiling point in the final episode of Beef season 2.

While Ashley, Lindsay, and Ava, joined by Austin, travel to South Korea, Josh, expecting to meet a Tinder date, instead meets a Korean agent sent by Chairwoman Park to kill him. He nearly loses the fight but manages to grab a knife and fatally stab the attacker. Desperate about the situation, Josh decides to fly to Korea.
Meanwhile, in South Korea, Austin gets his hands on the USB that holds secrets and evidence against Chairwoman Park, which is later stolen by Ashley. Later, the three meet Dr. Kim, who agrees to help them, believing that his wife is going to use it against him. But alas, he gets shot and dies.

As Ashley, Lindsay, and Austin somehow managed to leave the building, they were caught by Chairwoman Park and Josh, who finally, after trials and tribulations, found them. Now, this is when Lindsay and Josh rekindle their love and try to pin all the blame on Austin and Ashley. Meanwhile, Ashley finally gives the USB to Austin, and he rushes to hand the evidence to the police.
However, that is where the game of power and love began. Upon discovering that Eunice does not love him or love him in the way Ashley did, he decides to hand the USB to Chairwoman Park. And instead of the help, they secure stability in their job and life. But Josh decides to take all the blame to save Lindsay and goes to prison.
Fortunately, Josh, Ashley, Lindsay, and Austin all make it to the end of the season alive. However, another character, Woosh, who is revealed to be the son of the chairwoman’s ex-husband and the woman he left her for, gets unlucky and is killed. The season concludes with a time jump, giving a glimpse into how the decisions made in the final episode ultimately panned out for the remaining characters.
Do Ashley and Austin end up together?
After Ashley and Austin’s breakup in the series, and Austin falling in love with Eunice, even confessing his feelings, there is much curiosity about what happens to them. But after discovering that Eunice does not love him the way he wants, Austin returns to Ashley. Although the reconciliation is not shown, the time jump reveals them together.

They likely use the viable embryo and have a child. Ashley is seen as the general manager of the club, while Austin takes care of their child, appearing almost like a perfect couple, much like Josh and Lindsay at the start. Ashley and Austin also remain friends with Troy and Ava. However, the show ends on a note of tension again, with Austin quietly withdrawing in the final scene when Ashley asks him to read to their son while she can work.
Meanwhile, Josh and Lindsay get a different ending despite their reconciliation. After the time jump, Josh, in prison, learns Ashley has moved on, married, and started a new life, and he chooses not to contact her. But upon his release, he gives an interview, which Ashley watches privately, showing quiet sadness and emotions. The scene ends with her daughter entering the room.
