Elle Duncan departed ESPN in December 2025 to officially become the inaugural live sports host for Netflix. After an outstanding 9-year tenure anchoring SportsCenter and guiding women's basketball coverage, she eagerly chose to step outside her comfort zone. Duncan spoke during the interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about how this career transition delivered significant creative growth and a lighter schedule.

"Netflix was very new to the space," Duncan explained while reflecting on her major professional leap.

Now residing in the metro New York area with her husband, Omar Abdul Ali, and their two young children, the flexible production schedule allows her to enjoy uninterrupted quality time with her family.
