A deadly game of cat and mouse in Apex

According to Netflix Tudum, a grieving woman travels into the rugged Australian wilderness seeking solace, only to find herself ensnared in a lethal confrontation. She becomes the target of a serial killer who turns the beautiful landscape into a hunting ground. The story focuses on the psychological and physical stamina required to outsmart a predator in an environment where the terrain itself is an enemy.

Director Baltasar Kormákur utilized the Blue Mountains of New South Wales to ground the story in a sense of isolation and danger. He noted that the unrivaled landscape and local studio facilities were essential characters that loomed as large as the movie stars.

"For a film like Apex , where the elements and the terrain are characters that loom just as large as the movie stars battling in it, no other country in the world could have taken the place of Australia as our primary location,” Kormákur explained during the early stages of the filming process. With an elite cast and a brutal Australian backdrop, Apex is set to redefine the survival thriller when it strikes Netflix this April.
