Recently, Stephen even penned down an autobiography, Straight Shooter: A Memoir of Second Chances. Previously, he even revealed that he wanted to have Will Smith portray him if his book gets a live adaptation until the 2022 Oscars incident happened.

Recently Stephen featured on an episode of Hell of A Week with Charlamagne tha God where he gave the audience an insight into what his book is about. Initially, Stephen revealed how the books are very personal, as it will take the audience through the highs and lows of his life. When asked which actor he would want to portray his character if his books gets a live adaptation, he responded that his first choice was the Men In Black actor before the Oscar controversy.

However, when the host hinted that Will could make a comeback, Stephen had an interesting response. The NBA commentator replied, “Listen, listen; he’s Will Smith. We know he’s going to be back. But you just don’t do something like that. And Stephen A. wouldn’t do something like that.”
Stephen did add how he still loved Will Smith. Elsewhere in the video, he revealed how the only choices he has now were Omari Hardwick and Michael B. Jordan. Apart from Stephen, even Trevor Noah too had a peculiar take on Will Smith’s ban from the Oscars.
