We met many fresh faces in Ozark season 4 part 1. Among them, the one who seized
the show and took it to an entirely different dynamic was the cold-blooded
antagonist, Javier. Unpredictable in his ways; nephew and descendent of the
bigwig, Omar Navarro, Javier Elizonndro was a highlight of season 4. Played by
Alfonso Herrera, Javi shot dead the most beloved characters of Ozark.
“Sorry…whoever you are,” he said before shooting them. Well, at least he was
apologetic while killing them! Seemingly, Herrera teases something about the
series finale.


WHO EXACTLY IS JAVI? WHAT ARE HIS INTENTIONS?

moves to Ozarks after losing all their money to a prominent drug operation. Omar
Navarro welcomes them with a warm hug and engages them in concealing money

However, the following season introduces us to his unpredictable nephew, Javi.
He is a business enthusiast, ready to cross all the limits to prove himself and

Herrera shared, he felt like giving a hug to his co-stars as a fan before acting
out the script as the character. “When I read that, as a fan, I was in shock,”

as the actor playing Javi, I was very excited to see the arc of this character.
That last scene, it’s very potent, it’s very explosive.” In the climax of the
seventh episode, Javi took the fate of a competing drug dealer, Darlene, and
Wyatt, into his own hands.

“That was hard, man, because when I arrived to set, it was the first time I was
meeting them both,” he recalls talking to EW. “And I remember I just hugged
them, and they said, ‘This is going to be tough,’ and I said, ‘I don’t know if I
have to say this an honor, or I’m just sad, but it’s a complete pleasure to work
with you and to be with you in this process.”

“They were very generous, and it was emotional when we finished. Not just for
me, but for the whole cast and crew. They’ve been there since the beginning, so
