The trailer for War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson, has finally dropped. And the first look introduces a team of U.S. Army Ranger recruits, including Ritchson’s character, whose routine training exercise spirals into a nightmare when an unknown robotic threat emerges. After the terrifying discovery, Ritchson and his fellow soldiers are on the run as a desperate fight for survival begins.
"Whatever that thing is, it’s hunting us, and it won’t stop,” Ritchson is heard saying in the footage.
The trailer teases Ritchson in an intense, action-packed role. He is joined by a strong supporting cast that includes Dennis Quaid, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Stephan James, and Blake Richardson. Written and directed by Patrick Hughes, the sci-fi adventure film will arrive on Netflix on March 6.
Now, notably, this will not be Ritchson’s only collaboration with Hughes, as the two are already attached to another upcoming project together.

Last year, it was announced that Alan Ritchson would join yet another action-heavy film, as per Deadline. And for the project, Ritchson, who is rumored to be James Gunn's DCU Batman, will be reuniting with his War Machine director, Patrick Hughes. This is an untitled Amazon MGM Studios movie about NAVY Seal Mike Thornton.
The story follows Navy SEAL Mike Thornton in the final days of the Vietnam War, when he risks everything to rescue five teammates stranded deep in enemy territory. Even after an escape into the sea, he swims for hours through dangerous waters to reach safety, which later earned him the Medal of Honor. But before this untitled movie, fans will get their hands on War Machine to binge-watch.
