continuity would remain the same and the plot would have the protagonist return
to action and investigate a murder and rampant corruption in the Beverly Hills
Police Department.

Running for three iterations from 1984 to 1994, the fourth installment would
come after a gap of 30 long years. The action-comedy surrounding the
street-smart Detroit cop had launched Eddie Murphy into stardom and gained a
massive fan following for the franchise. Alongside Murphy, the likes of Kevin
Bacon, Judge Reinhold, and Taylour Paige, will also star in the movie.
