Prior to Henry Cavill farewell, The Witcher faces another major setback that might dishearten fans who were still up for season 4.

After Henry Cavill’s Exit, ‘The Witcher’ Season 4 Gets Another Sad Update

The world has been chanting praises for Henry Cavill
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/] since volume 2 came out. Season 3
marked the end of his tenure as Geralt of Rivia and fans deeply cherished his
final moments in The Witcher [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-witcher/]. Many
thought that it was a fitting farewell for the actor who went out swords
blazing. While others thought this could have been better, considering he has
been portraying this role for years. Now, days after his final display of
action, the show has got another bad news for the audience who were dealing with
this casting switch.

The online users have been feverishly debating over season 4 which will not
include Henry Cavill. On the other hand, the creators are trying to convince
people that Liam Hemsworth would fit perfectly in his shoes. The executive
producer Tomasz Baginski even confirmed recently that the actor is looking
amazing

in the whole look. But it looks like fans would not get the chance to witness
that themselves anytime soon.

Redanian Intelligence has rolled out an exclusive report
[https://redanianintelligence.com/2023/07/25/the-witcher-season-4-production-delayed-until-2024/]
regarding the production of The Witcher Season 4. They acquired information from
sources that the shooting has been delayed until 2024. Though the exact cause
remains unclear, the ongoing double strike is considered the reason behind this
postponement.

No final dates are revealed when the filming will start in 2024, but looking at
the previous season, it would take about 14 months for it to arrive on the small
screen. Season 3 began shooting on 31 March 2022 and wrapped up on 12 September
2022, after which comes post-production and promotional stuff. However, the
thing that has been bothering fans is how season 4 will deal with replacement.

SEASON 3 DID NOT SET UP THE REPLACEMENT ARC FOR HENRY CAVILL

Fans have been wondering for months how creators will set up the replacement of
parting star Henry Cavill with Liam Hemsworth. Many expected that season 3 will
bring something that justifies the change in Geralt’s looks. For instance, the
monster slayer gets into a fight which leads to face surgery or a reference from
the storytelling part. However, nothing like that happened at the end of season
3.

The White Wolf barely made it back to life after his battle with the mage
Vilgefortz, but it did not affect his face. So this big question still remains a
mystery for millions of viewers. Maybe this might be a great send-off for the
40-year-old, but it did seem a little weird on the transition part.
