After “Bonkers” Seasons ‘The Umbrella Academy’ to End With Season 4?

The Umbrella Academy just dropped its season 3 on Netflix to great hype. It
deserves the hype given the dysfunctional siblings were returning for yet
another adventure after a long gap. The third season delved into the family,
transitioning, upbringing and trauma. The last two episodes upped the ante and
the season closed with some major plot twists. Steve Blackman the creator of The
Umbrella Academy series revealed some of the doubts regarding season 4. 


MORE TIME TRAVELING, AND MORE ADVENTURE IN THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY SEASON 4 

Steve Blackman revealed that they are awaiting Netflix’s approval for another
season. The streamer hasn’t picked up the show for another season yet. However,
there are still a lot of unfinished storylines and questions that need answers
and Steve already has everything mapped out for the next season. Apparently,
when he started working on the adaptation he knew he would four seasons. “So, I
have a really good sense of what season four would be, and it should be just as
bonkers as the other seasons — what a challenge these superheroes, this family
has being powerless.” he disclosed.

THE SIBLINGS MIGHT FIND THEMSELVES IN A REPROGRAMMED UNIVERSE IN THE NEXT
SEASON

The season ended with Allison’s betrayal to get back her daughter Claire and
husband Raymond. Reginald also got back his dead wife. Since Reginald
reprogrammed the universe, Claire, Raymond, and Reginald’s wife could exist in
the same timeline. Steve shared that they might delve more into the reprogrammed

greenlights it. 

“The intention is that this timeline, whatever we’re in now, has merged people
from other timelines into one and that may or may not have repercussions in the
future,” he added.

Since we already saw a darker version of Reginald this season, his newly
returned wife will make for an interesting premise next season. The creator also
wishes to explore more of the superheroes’ struggle without powers and how their
powers evolve as they grow. Allison’s betrayal and revenge on Viktor by killing
Harlan will continue to loom over The Umbrella Academy
