It has been a while since Meghan Markle was last seen on screen. Her most recent appearances were in the 2022 docuseries Harry & Meghan and a few short segments in Heart of Invictus, both for Netflix. Netflix is collaborating with LeBron James' SpringHill Company and Alfred Street Industries for a new reality cooking competition series. Casting for the show reportedly kicked off in April, and its production officially began in June. Titled Next Gen Chef, the cooking competition, as per a report from What’s on Netflix, will hit screens in 2025- the same year Meghan Markle’s cookery show is also expected to debut.
Earlier this year, the Daily Mail reported that Markle’s yet-to-be-named show would premiere early next year. Its launch is also set to coincide with the debut of the American Riviera Orchard brand. However, there have been no further updates on the show, and the Duchess’s lifestyle brand is also on hold due to trademarking issues. Nonetheless, Markle got to relive her acting days with the Netflix project.
Despite the delays in her cooking project, sources say Meghan Markle enjoyed returning to the limelight for the Netflix show.
