During Variety’s TV Fest on Thursday, Tim DeKay confirmed the reboot of White Collar and revealed that the upcoming remake will pay tribute to Willie Garson, who played Mozzie in the original series. DeKay mentioned that the reboot honors Garson in a “profound way,” while Tiffany Thiessen added that it brought tears to her eyes. Both credited Jeff Eastin for beautifully capturing the essence of the show.

Variety speculated about the possibility of the reboot being released on Hulu, but this remains unconfirmed. White Collar originally aired on the NBC Universal-owned USA Network, with production handled by Fox Television Studios, meaning Disney now owns the IP. Although plot details are still under wraps, the timing seems perfect given the recent popularity of cop film series like Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which received positive audience evaluations on Tomatometer. Therefore, the White Collar reboot has indeed arrived at an opportune moment.
