3 Must-Watch &#8216;Friends&#8217; Episodes on Netflix to Ring in the New Year Feels

Friends, throughout its decade-long run in the television world, has embraced
the nitpicks of real-life nuances to keep real-time engagement. The show
received its hallmark of being a fan favorite with its comfort factor, becoming
a staple for every millennial’s binge season. Now, at the peak of festive
yuletides and a day away from the newer beginnings, it is just the right time to
set back in the cozy quilt and switch on the streaming binge.

To help with a select few festive run-ins on Netflix, here are three episodes
that could turn up the celebration frenzy higher. 


THE ONE WITH THE MONKEY

In its very first season, Friends started gaining momentum due to its relatable
plot lines. Jumping right into the New Year’s Eve plans, the clan hosted a New
Year’s party in episode 10 with one teeny tiny rule- no allowance of dates.
Meanwhile, the members did bring their dates, but by the end of the night, their
steadfast rule takes the win. But not everyone ends up alone as Ross gets
himself a pet monkey, Marcel.



A pointer for the digital natives- not everyone gets a New Year’s kiss. However,
taking a monkey in could be well, easier than getting a date.


THE ONE WITH THE RESOLUTIONS

New Year’s has this underlining of incoming with the burden of resolutions. The
theory is not about how far along you can hold on to them, but the other way
around. Being the fitting representatives of a lost generation, the members from
Friends too, swore their resolutions in episode 11 in the fifth season. This was
also the season that changed the perception of Thanksgiving shenanigans with its
famous Turkey Dance moves.

Turning the pages back to the declarations, Rachel’s bet was on gossiping less,
while Chandler tried to cut down on his sarcasm. But the biggest takeaway of the
episode was how quickly the resolutions became a nightmare to keep up with the
surprising revelation of Monica and Chandler’s relationship.

What is a New Year’s Eve without a good dance? For the sibling duo, Monica and
Ross Geller, it is a big no-no. This is why when the pair got the first chance
to get featured on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve, the siblings did not
miss the beat of their childhood dance routine. The episode aired on the 10th
episode of the sixth installment of the show, marking a new decade. Rocking the
skin-fit low-rise jeans, the pair surely nailed the routine but unfortunately
ended up in the blooper reel instead of the main show. 



Since Friends has timelessly maintained its position on everyone’s watchlist, a
look-back will definitely cause no harm. Instead, it could add the
“united-in-this” feel just in case the last leg needs a better warmer.
