Kim Kardashian and 50 Cent Team Up: Duo Seen on Set at Netflix’s Next Highschool Teen Drama in Making

Just a few weeks ago, Hollywood buzzed when it was revealed that Kim Kardashian would take on her first major role in a Netflix production, marking a significant moment in her evolving acting journey. Fresh off her dramatic turn as a divorce lawyer in All’s Fair, Kardashian is now navigating on-screen roles alongside off-screen life transitions, with rapper and actor 50 Cent thrown into the mix. In Hollywood circles, this project is being transliterated as Kardashian's creative reset.

It is a pivot that makes her current set pairing with one of the year’s most unlikely yet intriguing collaborations make total entertainment sense.

On set of Eva Longoria’s Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel, Kim Kardashian was spotted in all-black attire, exuding the poised star energy that has become her signature, with none other than 50 Cent, as per TMZ. With cameras rolling inside Exchange LA, a popular nightclub in downtown Los Angeles, she shared the space with him for her Netflix The Fifth Wheel role. The two, in fact, will share scenes with a range from seasoned comedians like Nikki Glaser to fellow franchise pro Brenda Song.

For Kim Kardashian, this is uncharted territory. However, for 50 Cent, this will not be his first project with Netflix. 50 Cent previously executive-produced the four-part docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which reportedly performed strongly on the platform. But long before prestige docuseries territory, the rapper made his acting debut with the semi-autobiographical Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

The film achieved cult status despite lukewarm critical reception.

Here is where things get interesting: The Fifth Wheel is not just another ensemble comedy in production; it is quietly shaping up to be a calculated star experiment, and a possible repositioning of Kim Kardashian’s acting résumé.

Inside The Fifth Wheel: Cast dynamics, characters & what the story is really about

Unlike the typical teen drama or high school setting, The Fifth Wheel is shaping up as a comedy about reconnecting, chaos, and comedy of errors. Written by comedy veterans Paula Pell and Janine Brito, the story centers on a group of former high school friends, some of which Brenda Song, Nikki Glaser, Kim Kardashian, and Fortune Feimster, are known to be playing. Their reunion, which morphs into a long-awaited Las Vegas weekend getaway, forms the crux of the film.

Their plans go hilariously off-the-rails when Kim Kardashian’s charismatic outsider character crashes the trip, shaking up cliques, reigniting old rivalries, and prompting moments of self-reflection none of them expected. With themes of friendship, adulthood, and messy life choices at the forefront, the film promises genuine laughs woven with surprisingly earnest interpersonal beats, lifted by its eclectic and star-studded cast.

Whether Kardashian’s turn here resets her acting narrative or simply adds another fascinating chapter to her multi-faceted career, The Fifth Wheel is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most talked-about comedies in production.
