Enthusiasts of Egypt, its history, and culture have likely come across the name Dorothy Eady. She was also well known among the academic researchers of reincarnation, as she claimed to be the reincarnation of a priestess from ancient Egypt. Over the years, several articles and documentaries have explored her life, research, and claims, and naturally, the on-screen documentation of her lifetime.

It is only natural for an enthusiast to look toward the comfort of streaming to experience Dorothy Eady's spectacle, and even more so, to look for it on Netflix.

Unfortunately, there is no documentary about Dorothy Eady on Netflix. One of the earliest is Omm Sety and Her Egypt, filmed by the BBC in 1981, but it is not currently available to watch. It features several interviews with her.

However, another documentary, Egypt: Quest for Eternity, a special by National Geographic (1982), is available to watch on YouTube. It follows Dorothy Eady during her time in Abydos, one of the oldest cities in Upper Egypt. A more recent feature is Ancient Aliens (2022), which is available to stream on Amazon Prime.

This program (Return of the Egyptian Gods) focuses on her claims of being the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian priestess named Bentreshyt. After an accident at the age of 3 when she fell down a flight of stairs and was believed to be dead, she began showing unusual behaviors as well as a foreign accent. She insisted on being taken home. Later in life, she became an antiquities caretaker and worked with the Department of Egyptian Antiquities.

On the other hand, Dr. Waziri is on a quest to find a tomb believed to be around 2,600 years old. Both men have the same goal, which is to make discoveries related to ancient Egypt. The rivalry between the two teams, along with their determination as well as unearthing historic finds, make up the documentary. Directed by Max Salomon, it is a 1-hour 23-minute film that is available to watch on Netflix to quench their thirst for Egyptology, even if its was first piqued by Omm Sety herself.
