Korean dramas have got the world in a chokehold with their diverse flavors and range from heart-warming romance to brutal thrillers. In a new addition, The Witch has captivated the global audience since its TV release in early 2025. But now it is time for the drama to cross the streaming borders.

Wrapping mystery and romance in one, featuring Park Jin-young, The Witch has become the center of attention owing to its emotionally sensitive supernatural thrills and breathtaking visuals. Naturally, Netflix looks like a perfect fit as its streaming partner.

However, this K-drama has a rather different global streaming status and a worldwide digital rollout timeline.

Is The Witch (2025) available on Netflix US?

The Witch, which first aired in South Korea on the Channel A network on February 15, 2025, followed a weekly run until March 16, 2025. It is not available on Netflix US; however, all of its ten episodes are streaming on the streaming platform in South Korea.

Directed by Kim Tae-gyun and written by Jo Yoo-jin, this webtoon-based mystery romance drama is accessible globally on multiple platforms. Viewers in the US can binge The Witch on Rakuten Viki with subtitles in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Korean, Russian, German, and more.

Rakuten Viki users can watch the first two episodes of the drama for free with ads. The entire series is also available to watch for free with Viki's 7-day trial option, followed by a $7.99 monthly subscription.

In South Korea, the drama is also streaming on TVING and Lifetime, U-Next streams it in Japan, and Viu and Viki have it for a few selected regions, including the US. While it is available on Netflix in most of Asia and parts of Europe, an increasing hunger for its extensive streaming availability can be attributed to its seamless blend of eerie mystery with emotional depth.

What to expect from the plot and cast of The Witch?

With powerful performances by its star cast, which includes GOT7's Park Jin-young (Yumi's Cells) and Roh Jeong-eui (Hierarchy), The Witch is a binge-worthy tale of love blossoming despite the fear of the curse, guilt, and superstition. Park Mi-jeong is cursed and thus causes tragedy and misfortune to any man who gets close to her.

However, Park Jin-young's Lee Dong-jin is a logical and data miner who takes on Mi-jeong's mysterious case. Unfazed by the gossip and the superstition surrounding her, he returns to her world with the intention of revealing the truth about the series of misfortunes.

Essentially, the two become each other's salvation in this tragically poetic story of love, mystery, and fate. With elongated supernatural suspense, combined with emotional profundity, intricacies of human relationships, stigma, and redemption, it creates a unique tale of love, befitting Netflix's exquisite library of international thriller romances.

Though not available on Netflix US right away, The Witch is still a must-watch mystery romance K-drama as it provides a thoughtful and engaging narrative that lingers long after the credits roll.
