Who does not love that butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling while watching a sweet rom-com movie? From charming meet-cutes to endearingly cringey dialogue, the charm is irresistible, which is why romance films often make it on viewers’ favorites list. That same spell seems to have worked its magic with the beloved romance starring a Game of Thrones star.

The British romantic drama film, originally released in 2016, has found a new life after landing on Netflix USA this January. Starring Sam Claflin, the nearly nine-year-old film still seems to hold a place in fans’ hearts.

The 2016 movie, Me Before You, which landed on Netflix in January 2026, seems to have already pulled in the viewers. As of now, the movie is trending on Netflix and has found a place on Netflix’s Top 6.

The film stars Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as Louisa Clark, a bright, small-town woman who is scrambling to find work. Her life changes when she ends up taking a caregiving job for Will Traynor, who is struggling after a devastating accident. What starts as an awkward arrangement soon becomes something meaningful.

Me Before You is a tearjerker that is both fun and emotional. It follows the lives of the two characters, Louisa and Will, as they grow closer, while challenging each other’s views on everything. Apart from Sam Claflin, Emilia Clarke gives a brilliant performance, but Me Before You is not the only movie where the actress melted hearts on screen.
