Brad Pitt's Cliff Booth is back with a flashy new trailer, the very role that earned him an Oscar back in 2020. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, a sequel to Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is being directed by David Fincher, with Pitt both starring and producing the comedy-drama film. Tarantino, the original creator, has also written and produced the sequel. The film is set eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where Cliff Booth is now navigating a new Hollywood of 1977. 

After months of teases, including a Super Bowl spot that never went online, the first trailer finally gives an intriguing look at the misadventures to come.

Netflix dropped the trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth on Monday. It is clear from the trailer that Booth is no longer a stuntman. Instead, he has become a "studio fixer" for Hollywood biggies. Glimpses of new characters, including Charlie's wife Toni, pro-football star turned actor Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison, and the Verdusco brothers were also seen in the trailer.

The trailer also promises plenty of laughs, high-octane adventures, and a brush of criminal intrigue. This film, David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino’s first team-up, will also be Netflix's first film to be released in Imax around the world on November 25 before it hits the streaming giant on December 23, pushing Greta Gerwig’s Narnia behind for a later release window. However, before The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth arrives on Netflix, the franchise has one more offering in store.

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is about to publish his third novel from the franchise, based on Brad Pitt's character. 

Quentin Tarantino has written or collaborated on two core books directly tied to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. His first was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: A Novel which expands on the backstories of Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth. This was published in 2021. Last year, Tarantino co-authored on The Making of Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood with writer Jay Glennie. This year, Tarantino is returning with his second fiction novel that acts as a spinoff/sequel focused entirely on the stuntman turned fixer. 

The novel,  titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, also set in the same timeline as The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, will be published by HarperCollins on December 8, 2026. With both the sequel and the novel arriving this year, along with what is likely to be Tarantino’s second-to-last film, fans have plenty to look forward to this winter.
