Kristen Bell, hosting the Actor Awards for the third time after previous stints in 2018 and 2025, kicked off the 2026 ceremony with a full-scale musical number that immediately set a celebratory tone. While in 2025, she opened with the parody, 'Do You Want to Be an Actor?,' this year, she kicked off with singing a monologue on stage names for actors.
"A stage name to bring you acclaim, to double your luck and to triple your fame / A stage name that says who you are, that tells the whole world, baby, I’m a star," Bell sang. She went on to suggest catchy and interesting names for many actors in the audience.
Bell suggested Jacordy O’Lordy for Jacob Elordi, Teddy Dandaughter rather than Ted Danson, TeyTay in place of Teyana Taylor, Indoctrinate Me instead of Noah Wyle, and Jessie Plimes rather than Jesse Plemons. Bell once again chose music to unify the room, proving that her theater roots and comedic timing remain her biggest assets on an awards stage.
Even before Bell put her musical prowess at work, she captured the red carpet with her stunning look.

Before taking the stage, Kristen Bell turned heads in a custom Georges Hobeika Couture gown. The ethereal design featured a fitted bodice adorned with delicate crystal embellishments and an off-the-shoulder neckline that highlights her shoulders. A flowing train trails behind her, catching the light under camera flashes and adding to the gown’s luminous effect. She completed the look with sleek diamond chandelier earrings, metallic stilettos, and a chic updo that keeps the focus on the gown’s intricate detailing.
