'Wednesday' was an absolute hit with the fans, but recent reports suggest fans might not see Percy Hynes White in the second season anymore.

Netflix Drops ‘Wednesday’ Actor Percy Hynes White Claims Report, After Show Confirmed for Woeful Season 2

Dark academia fans had a treat when the Addams family made their way back on
screens. The famous The Addams Family by Charles Addams introduced the world of
“outcasts” and “normies.” A book, series, cartoon illustrations, and film
adaptations later, 2022 saw a Netflix series adaptation of the same. The young
Jenna Ortega rose to fame along with her co-actors Percy Hynes White, Emma
Myers, and Hunter Doohan. The story of the aristocratic family of Wednesday
Addams, painted black with hints of purple, made a hit among the fans.

Not only the steely family dynamics, but the Hogwarts-esque school adventures
proved to be a treat too. As the OTT giant geared up to roll out the second
season, reports suggested that White, who played Xavier Thorpe, is up for
replacement.

THE WOEFUL SEASON MIGHT FACE WOEFULLY BAD NEWS

The character who played alongside Ortega has reportedly landed in muddy waters.
The Daily Mail reported
[https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12454313/Percy-Hynes-White-dropped-Netflix-Wednesday-sex-assault-allegation.html]
that White was “written out” from the second season due to sexual misconduct
allegations. They emerged after a Twitter user gave her an account of the events
that landed these allegations on the actor. The 21-year-old actor faced backlash
on the social media platform, with hashtags and protests surfacing online. The
events conspired in Toronto, and the thread on Twitter added more basis to the
claims. While the streaming platform has not made an official update, a close
source of the Canadian actor expressed his sadness about White being dropped
from the second season.

The Canadian became widely popular after his character with magical powers
gained traction among the audience. The show gained several Emmy nominations,
and Ortega reviewed the fans’ theories floating around

after the series gained traction for season 2. While the second season will see
the return of Ortega and others, White’s Thorpe might see a replacement. The
comedy horror is all set for a return, but production updates have not
resurfaced after the SAG-AFTRA strikes started. Moreover, this explains why
there have been no official updates about the cast.

The report, which contained a comment from a close source of the actor, denied
all the allegations. Moreover, the actor spoke up about it himself.

PERCY HYNES WHITE REPLIES TO THE ALLEGATIONS

The close source gave a testament to White’s character. Denying the allegations,
the Canadian actor took to Instagram to break his silence. He claimed that
“attempts to set the record straight have been ignored.” The actor also
confessed about how his friends were receiving death threats, along with his
entire family being involved.

While the actor has steered clear from any talks about the cast and series
updates, his co-actors like Ortega have shared a deep bond with him from the
sets. Even pairing up for a film, Winter Spring Summer or Fall, the two will
carry their chemistry from the dark comedy thriller to the light-hearted
romantic comedy.
