Tony Tony Chopper's golden balls from One Piece Live Action Season 2 unmasked
The golden balls shown at the end of One Piece Live Action season 2 are called Rumble Balls, and their main purpose is to give insane power boosts to Chopper. The balls help Chopper to go beyond the natural abilities of his Devil Fruit (Human-Human Fruit). Naturally, his devil fruit allows him three different kinds of transformations - Walk Point (full reindeer form), Brain Point (hybrid form between human and reindeer), and Heavy Point (his beefed-up transformation mainly for combat).
These three transformations are helpful, but against stronger adversaries on the Grand Line, they were of little to no help. Therefore, Chopper invented these golden balls, knowing that he required additional strength to keep himself and the people he loves safe. He developed the rumble ball using his medical expertise because he required adaptability to take on more formidable foes.
He may momentarily access other, more specialized forms like Guard Point and Arm Point beyond the usual three, thanks to the rumble ball. Chopper's improved transformations enable him to hold his own despite his lack of fighting experience, demonstrating the true combat potential of his innovation.
However, there are some downsides to the excessive usage of the balls in a short time that might be detrimental not only to him but also to the whole crew.
The risks involved with the Rumble Balls
The rumble balls that appear in One Piece Live Action Season 2 had enormous promise when Chopper initially created it, but the main issue was that it made it difficult for him to manage his changes. Walk Point, Brain Point, and Heavy Point are the three forms that Chopper can typically switch between with ease. But if he takes three rumble balls, he will transform into a giant monster (also called Monster Point).
Once he is in this monster form, he loses control over his sanity and does not recognize anyone. He will mindlessly start attacking everyone and go on a full rampage. He might even incur injuries during this transformation and even drain him of his energy entirely. A power that comes with great risk is best to be saved for dire situations, and that is exactly what Chopper does in the series.

The Rumble Balls are a great invention and go on to show Chopper’s level of medical expertise and his understanding of his Devil Fruit. Fans did not get to see these in action in the second season of One Piece, but they will soon see them in future installments. Although risks involved in their usage, the rumble balls are an important tool for Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece, as they give him the ability to protect his friends against perilous foes.
