'Thunder 3' Cast: Meet the Voice Actors of Netflix’s Animated Sci-Fi Adventure

Netflix, which is home to some of the most exciting animated movies and series, is set to add yet another gem to its growing library. The highly anticipated title Thunder 3 will premiere exclusively on the streaming platform. Based on Yuki Ikeda's manga of the same name, the series follows three young boys as they head on the most unimaginable adventure of their lives. 

The series also features a talented voice cast that brings its colorful and wholesome characters to life. So, here is a look at the voice actors behind the series, Thunder 3, before it arrives on Netflix.

Meet the voice cast of Thunder 3

Honoka Mitsubachi: Honoka Mitsubachi will lend her voice to Futaba. She has previously worked in animated TV series like Digimon Beatbreak and The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom.

Eri Akiyama: Eri Akiyama voices Hiroshi in the series. Best known for her role as Keigo Takami in My Hero Academia, she is one of the most recognizable names in anime voice acting.

Natsumi Kawaida: She will play Tsubame in the series, Thunder 3. She previously worked on The Summer Hikaru Died.

Sayumi Suzushiro: Sayumi Suzushiro will lend her voice to Pyontarou in the series. She has previously appeared as Kei Shirogane in the series Love is War. The rest of the voice actors for the series are not yet revealed. 

The animated series will follow three childhood friends, Pyontaro, Tsubame, Hiroshi, and Pyontaro's little sister. Their life take a dramatic turn when Pyontaro’s younger sister mysteriously disappears. As they search for her, their journey takes an extraordinary adventure where they must face multiple challenges. The first episode of the series will be released on Netflix on July 8, 2026.

Now, Thunder 3 is not the only animated title joining Netflix's July lineup, as the streamer will also premiere the adventure series Sparks of Tomorrow.

What is Sparks of Tomorrow on Netflix?

Sparks of Tomorrow is the latest animated series from the famous Kyoto Animation. Directed by Minoru Ota, the series follows a boy who loses his brother and grows distrustful after their shared dream of an 'Age of Electricity' remains unfulfilled. He later teams up with another girl, who has her own secrets and regrets to hide. And as they come together, they set out to find out the mysteries hidden within the 20th Century Electrical Catalog.

The series is director Ota's directorial debut after previously directing episodes of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S and other series. Sparks of Tomorrow will premiere on July 5, 2026, with the rest of the episodes released weekly. Together with Thunder 3, Netflix's anime slate continues to build a progressively sprawling selection of the genre.
