‘Sparks of Tomorrow’ on Netflix: Meet the Voice Actors Behind the Mystery Anime

Netflix is home to some of the best anime series and movies, from Demon Slayer to Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. The streaming platform continues to expand its anime library with new titles, and one of the latest additions is Sparks of Tomorrow. The upcoming series which brings ambition, dreams, and drama together, is set to arrive on Netflix soon. 

Along with its intruiging story, Sparks of Tomorrow features a talented voice cast that is well worth checking out before the series arrives on the streaming platform.

Yuma Uchida as Kihachi Sakamoto: She has previously worked in Fruits Basket, Banana Fish, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Grand Blue. 

Sora Amamiya as Inako Momokawa: Amamiya is well known for her roles in Akama ga Kill, The Seven Deadly Sins, Tokyo Ghoul, and KonoSuba.

Koki Uchiyama as Yosuke Mizoe: The Japanese actor is well known for lending his voice to Roxas and Ventus in the Kingdom Hearts series and many more projects. 

Daisuke Ono as Seiroku Sakamoto: He lent his voice to Jotaro Kujo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Erwin Smith in Attack on Titan. He also worked on The Seven Deadly Sins and more such projects.

Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kengo Kuga: Takeuchi is a well-known voice actor, singer, and music producer. He has previously worked on Astra Lost in Space and Akudama Drive.

The series is set in an alternate version of the early 20th century, where steam power shaped technology instead of electricity, leaving one of the most important cities, Kyoto, covered in constant smoke. It follows a boy who lost his brother, becomes distrustful after their dream of an 'Age of Electricity' is cut short, while a deeply devout girl keeps her dreams and regrets about her deceased mother hidden.

As the two meet, they explore the secrets of the 20th Century Electrical Catalog, which shows a glimpse of the future they long for, and together they confront their pasts and move toward that future. With much hype around the show, when will the series arrive on Netflix?

Release date of Sparks of Tomorrow on Netflix

Sparks of Tomorrow was announced as part of Netflix's July lineup. As per the streaming platform, the series is set to premiere on July 5, 2026. Produced by the renowned Kyoto Animation, the anime is directed by Minoru Ota. The anime is Minoru Ota's debut directorial after working on episodes of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S and CITY The Animation.

A first look at the series is already out. And the emotional story, stunning animation, and an impressive lineup of voice actors have already caught attention. If the first look is any indication, the show could be a promising release of this year.
