'One Piece Live Action' Season 2 Ending Explained: Who are Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday? Will Luffy Fight Crocodile in Alabasta?

Ending and One Piece are two words that exist in drastically different spaces, I mean when a journey is as amazing as it has been so far for the manga and the anime, you see people only dream about the perfect ending and not really have them explaining the real one, because the real one is either in Eiichiro Oda’s head or on the ocean floor. But luckily, Netflix’s One Piece Live Action lets us discuss the story's endings, and for everyone who joined this journey from there, it is worth docking our ships, anchoring in a port, and talking about what just happened!

A season filled with giants, assassins, and a talking reindeer, One Piece: Into The Grand Line definitely left a lot of us with many questions. By the time you reach the finale of this season, there are a ton of loose ends and hints for the future seasons, and maybe you caught yourself wondering about what exactly all those things mean. So, Nakama! It is time we sit and discuss everything that happened at the end of One Piece Live Action Season 2.

Miss All Sunday’s arrival and Wapol’s attack

The season finale opens in the aftermath of Chopper's heartbreaking backstory, dropping us into the middle of the forthcoming battle. While a part of the crew (Luffy, Sanji, and Nami) rest and recover at the royal castle, Zoro and Usopp are seen manning the watch towers while Dalton steps out in the wild to examine the origin of a campfire smoke rising in the distance.

Amidst all this, we see Vivi, who had already sensed the eerie presence of Miss All Sunday in the Drum Kingdom, finally confront Baroque Works’ elite agent. We see Miss All Sunday tipping the Alabasta princess off about the impending dangers of Wapol and his newly acquired Devil Fruit powers from the Munch-Munch Fruit, courtesy of his connections to the Baroque Works, and it is also revealed that he is in cahoots with the criminal organization led by the infamous Mr. 0.

And just as this is happening, we see the dangers of the said Munch-Munch fruit walk up to the gate of the village. Wapol, with his new abilities, has merged his soldiers with weapons and turned them into zombies of sorts who know no better than to attack anything that moves. With the knowledge of Wapol’s arrival on the island and the background that Vivi is already aware of, the young princess quickly finds Zoro and Usopp and decides that she needs to go to the palace and inform Luffy and the rest of the crew about everything.

With the straight icy mountain in front of her, Vivi is aided by the in-house inventor and the incredibly talented snipe, Usopp. Usopp quips her with a crossbow turned mountain climbing gear, which puts the ex-baroque works agent right at the top of the mountain within minutes.

Wapol and Vivi’s history and Dr. Kureha’s refusal to fight

As Vivi reaches the palace, we quickly get to her telling the story of why Wapol is one of the worst people to rule and the time she got slapped by the Drum Kingdom ruler at a World Government meeting in the Holy Land, Mary Geoise. It is revealed that Wapol succeeded his father, who was a very just ruler, but his son turned out to be the complete opposite.

We see Wapol rant about the War Lord system, where the government has given approval to 7 most powerful pirates, and they are allowed to rule the seas, making sure there is a balance maintained among the powers in the world of One Piece. It is here that Wapol first drops hints about the infamous assassination of the Fishman Island queen, whose death even a Fishman Warlord was not able to stop, thus questioning the whole system in place.

We witness Wapol having this whole argument about how to rule a kingdom with Vivi’s father, Nefartari Cobra. While Wapol goes on rambling about how his people are just subjects who exist to serve him, Cobra drops wisdom on this relatively young man. “A king is just a man, and the crown is just a hat”, says the ruler from the sand kingdom of Alabasta.

Later, we see Wapol enraged, walking out of the summit of kings, and on his way out, slamming into a young Vivi and, for no good reason, slapping the little girl for obstructing his way. Vivi, being the daughter of a wise ruler, averts the possible conflict by apologizing right away, thus proving how good a ruler she will become when she ascends the throne. This, at its core, establishes the bad blood between the two nations and also between Wapol and Vivi.

We then see Vivi rallying the Straw Hats crew, Chopper, and Dr. Kureha, and telling them that Wapol has arrived and it's only a matter of time before they have to face him. While the crew, in their signature fashion, takes up arms at the slightest chance they get, we see hesitations creep up on the old doctor. Having witnessed how cruel that man can be, Kureha will do anything to avoid confronting him, even more so now that the mad king has a devil fruit power. And even though she tries her best to talk Chopper out of it, the reindeer turned doctor refuses to give up the thing his father/friend Dr. Hiriluk fought for. Thus, we see Chopper finally take up the pirate ideals and fight for what he thinks is right.

Wapol vs Luffy

With Kureha leaving the building and refusing to battle, we see the rest of the gang lay out their plans to go downhill and confront Wapol. Sanji and Chopper go to fix Nami’s medical situation and move her to a walking IV drip, but are confronted by the two generals from Wapol’s army, Chess and Kuromarimo. While Chess, the bow and arrow-wielding jester-looking general, duels Chopper and his many forms, Sanji battles Kuromarimo, who has static afro hair that he uses as weapons to strangle/stop their opponents. But after an initial struggle, we do see Sanji and Chopper really well as a duo, defeating the king’s champions, establishing the bond they will go on to make as crew members on the ship.

Similarly, Luffy and Vivi are met with Wapol at the palace itself, as the king uses one of his many secret tunnels to climb up the mountain. Vivi and Wapol exchange some very heated words about character, being a ruler, and kingdoms before the princess finally decided to throw hands with a man who won’t understand words. Although a valiant effort, Vivi is quickly overpowered by the devil fruit-powered man, and that’s when Luffy jumps in.

Luffy spars with Wapol in a signature goofy style, which only enrages the king eve further as the pirate refuses to take him seriously. And just when the king points that out, Luffy lands a heavy blow to incapacitate him, giving his side a victory for the time being. As Nami, Sanji, and Chopper join them in the room, Wapol once again wakes up and tries to create havoc, but, unlucky for him, Sanji and Luffy re-create a combo-attack right from the pages of the manga to shoot Wapol into oblivion.

While the main fight was taking place uphill, we see Zoro and Usopp lead the village people into the battle against the abominations Wapol created with his powers. One after another, we see almost every attack the duo makes turn to waste, and they are on the brink of death, only saved by the pair of Dalton and Kureha. The doctor met an injured Dalton on her way out of the palace, and seeing him persevere against all odds for his belief in the people of the country, we finally see Kureha join the battle after treating Dalton's wounds.

However, the zombie-like creature still overpowers the entire team on the ground, and they are almost inches away from ending their lives for good. Only then do we see the weird soldiers slowly shed off the weapons attached to them and turn into their normal selves, thanks to Luffy sending Wapol flying into the air and likely sending him far enough so that his powers stop affecting everyone he used them on.

Chopper becomes a Straw Hats and Cherry Blossoms arrive at Drum Island

With Wapol defeated and the Drum kingdom liberated, the doctors who were taken hostage by the tyrant are finally set free, and they start treating the wounded. While they are doing that, Kureha, Dalon, Zoro, and Usopp make their way up the castle from the secret tunnel. And as they discover Luffy beat Wapol for good, the hometown duo are awe-struck, while it is almost a regular day at the office for Usopp and Zoro.

Following that, we see Luffy introduce the rest of the crew to Chopper and reveal how he intends to recruit him into his crew as their doctor. While Chopper remembers his early days’ struggles with humans and how he was treated, he at first refuses to join them. He quickly realises that Luffy and his crew are nothing like those humans and will treat him with all the love and respect that he deserves. Thus, a blue-nosed reindeer who knew nothing but suffering and being secluded finally found a group of people he could call friends and live with.

What are Chopper's Powers in 'One Piece Live Action' Season 2? Devil Fruit and Transformation Explained

So as the rest of the crew prepares to depart, Chopper takes a detour to let his Dr. Kureha, his Doctorine, know about his will to take to the seas, a dream that was passed on to him by Dr. Hiriluk himself. Kureha at first dismisses the idea of him leaving her, although she does not like to show it, she really loves and cares about Chopper. She reminds him of how humans have treated him and his struggles, but clearly, nothing can stop the Chopper, and thus, he does what he needs to do. We see Chopper take out Sleigh and show off another of his transformations, where he becomes a literal reindeer, and he takes the entire crew onto it and rides downhill to the ship.

Now on the ship, Chopper still has a heavy heart even though he is doing what he desires to do. Leaving home is never easy, and he is assured that the crew very well understands his feelings. We see Chopper nervously search for his backpack, thinking he must have forgotten it. But Nami reveals that it was in the sleigh and gives it to him, but Chopper never put it there, revealing that Kureha always knew that he would want to leave with them, and gave him his blessings for it.

Chopper quickly checks his bag and pops out a small sack of golden coloured balls, but when Nami asks him what they are, he says it is a surprise for some other time. And then comes the most beautiful scene of the entire season, when Kureha turns Hiriluk’s dream into a reality and uses his own creation to transform the snow in Drum’s sky into a pink shower of snow, which resembles cherry blossoms, the same cherry blossoms that Hiriluk believed could cure the dying hope of this country.

Thus, Chopper gets a perfect departing gift as he basks in the pink hue of the sky. In a beautiful final scene with the crew, we see Zoro pick Chopper up and put him on his shoulders, foreshadowing what I can only describe as one of the best duos among the Straw Hats.

In one last scene with Kureha and Dalton, we see them discussing future possibilities. How Luffy reminds Kureha a lot of Gol D. Roger, which Dalton quickly corrects to Gold Roger. And when Dalto reveals that Luffy’s full name is Monkey D. Luffy, Kureha drops one of the biggest mysteries in the world of One Piece, The Will of D. She says it still lives on with Luffy. What is it? Only the future will tell, since even the Manga/Anime fans do not know the true meaning of it, only Oda Sensei does (and the ocean floor).

Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday's identity revealed, what does it mean for Season 3?

In the final few minutes of the season finale, Vivi is caught worried as she ponders how sad she will be when the Straw Hats depart after dropping her in Alabasta. But, to no one’s surprise, Luffy promises that they will only continue their journey after they have helped Vivi save her home country. Thus confirming the next adventure for the crew.

What Is Miss All Sunday’s Devil Fruit in 'One Piece' Live Action Season 2? Nico Robin’s Power Explained

With the Straw Hats on board and them willing to fight for Vivi, the princess decides they need to know the big secret for which she gave up her life as a princess and became an assassin for Baroque Works, the secret about the true identity of the master mind behind all the things going wrong in Alabasta, the leader of the assassin group, Mr. 0. Vivi reveals that he is none other than one of the Seven Warlords of the sea, Crocodile.

We are then taken to the Marine communications outpost at the Isle of Renaisse, where Smoker finally decodes the message from an almost dead Den Den Mushi, which reveals the conversation Sanji had with Crocodile at the Little Garden. Tashigi is quickly able to recognise the voice and tells him that it is one of the Straw Hats. With messages decoded, locations revealed, and encounters set, Smoker decides to sail to Alabasta and, once and for all, find what exactly is happening there.
