'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3 Sets Netflix Release: Check When to Stream 2026’s Most Anticipated Return

Waiting for the anime adaptation after the manga ends could make many grouchy, with the sole exception of Jujutsu Kaisen fans, of course. With only a few days at hand before the premiere of its highly anticipated third season, Netflix has now made accessing the anime easier.
After almost two years of anxiously waiting for updates regarding Season 3, especially after the breathtaking finale of the Shibuya Incident in Season 2 that wreaked havoc over the Jujutsu society, the streaming titan has finally announced its release schedule.
The Culling Game arc is encroaching, and Netflix is more than prepared to stream the new curses and even darker hunt for survival in several countries.

When will Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 arrive on Netflix?
Netflix will release Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, titled The Culling Game Part 1, on January 9, 2026, continuing the adaptation of Gege Akutami’s manga for the blockbuster anime. The new season starts right after the Shibuya Incident, and it revolves around sorcerer Yuji Itadori's survival and redemption.
However, Netflix will only host the third season in select regions across Asia, which likely include Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand. At this moment, Netflix has not yet confirmed to be the global streaming platform for Season 3.
Not to worry, as fans outside Asia, in regions like the US, Europe, Canada, and more, the anime will instead be available only on Crunchyroll. The streaming service, which is home to the animated genre, will provide simultaneous weekly broadcasts of Season 3, coinciding with the Japanese premiere, starting from January 9, 2026.
Netflix currently includes all previous seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen in its regional catalog, while in the US, they are available to stream on Crunchyroll, including the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. Meanwhile, the original manga is available to read on Viz Media for those who are eager to jump ahead and risk having their hopes for beloved characters enjoying some happiness shattered.
Clutch the pearls, and prepare to take a brick to the heart because Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is about to be darker than the horrific Halloween massacre that left Season 2 hanging by a cliff.
What to expect from Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1?
At the start of Season 3, Yuta Okkotsu is under the grim orders of executing Yuji Itadori, Gojo Satoru is sealed in the prison realm, and the fatal Culling Game arc is about to begin. The narrative promises death-defying battles, unpredictable allegiances, new characters, and curses involved in high-octane fights and emotional anguish.
Studio Mappa has already cinematically teased the first two episodes of season 3 in Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution movie, much like Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death - The Movie that came before it. Though these compilation movies do not entirely indicate what is to come in the series premiere, fans can expect improved lighting, smoother motion, and better shadows in season 3.
