Ever since Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, made his comeback to the industry, he has dropped one album, one diss track, and a bunch load of controversies. The rapper has also been working hard to regain his footing in the business world after his decision to remove filters from his speech cost him dearly. But no one could have imagined in their wildest dreams that the hip-hop mogul would dip his toes into the $97 billion adult film industry for some business as well.

Following this bold move, Ye opted to wade into even riskier waters by airing his views on faith.

As soon as Ye dropped 'Vultures' with Ty Dolla $ign, it was pretty clear that he had moved miles away from his 'Jesus is King' and 'Donda' days. And his sit-down for the HYPERBEAST Issue 33, which has since sold out, may just add more layers to it. In the interview, the rapper was questioned about his connection to faith. To which he offered a simple yet profound response. Quoting Michael Jackson, the 46-year-old stated, "I'm looking at the man in the mirror."

This came right in the middle of the shock of Ye venturing into the unchartered territory of adult films. Last month, he announced his adult entertainment studio with a six-second clip on X. After the announcement, Ye went completely off the grid across all platforms, beginning with the deactivation of his Instagram. However, this was not the first time Ye chose to retreat from the public eye after causing a commotion.

Ye has mastered the art of surviving public uproar. And his favorite tactic for dealing with it is the disappearing act. The rapper withdraws from the public eye each year to ride out the wave of criticism. Back in 2016, amid a period of erratic and contentious behavior, he disappeared from the public eye entirely. Then, once again, following his impromptu speeches on Saturday Night Live in 2018, Ye unexpectedly vanished from social media.

He also addressed the antisemitic and white supremacist controversies in a similar vein. It took a couple of days and several breakdowns before he broke his hiatus. However, at the time, fans were yearning to see his musical brilliance. Today, with the shift in fans' sentiments and rumors circulating about Ye's dwindling relevance, it seems like not only his relationship with faith but also fans' perception of the rap maestro has gone through quite the evolution.
