Taylor Swift is no stranger to making hit music, so let us look back at when the American singer announced her album after winning at MTV.

When Taylor Swift Announced an Album at the VMAs That Garnered 186 Million Streams in One Day

Fans are capable of a lot of things, but leading to name changes for cities is
something only Taylor Swift fans can achieve. The popularity of her music and
The Eras Tour reached so far that some US states renamed their cities for a
duration of a couple of days as Swift performed in their vicinity. Not only has
the ‘Bad Blood’ singer reached one of the most important points in her career,
but also aided the US economy with earnings nearing a billion dollars.

As the MTV VMA awards approach nearer, let us look back at when the ‘Cruel
Summer’ singer announced her record-breaking album at the 2022 VMA.

TAYLOR SWIFT’S RECORD-BREAKING ALBUM

The MTV Video Music Awards are no stranger to The Eras Tour’s hitmaker. She has
swept 14 of those awards to her name. Moreover, with the roaring success of her
ongoing sixth concert, the ‘Shake It Off’ singer will most probably add more to
her name. The Pennsylvania native has bagged eight nominations this year alone.
While fans may be praying for her to win an award, they might even get a chance
to be seated next to her as a VMA seat filler
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-is-vma-seat-filler-a-real-job-where-can-you-apply-for-2023-mtv-video-music-awards/].
Importantly, just a year ago, at the same awards, Swift announced her tenth
studio album, ‘Midnights.’

Going on stage to collect her award for the Video of the Year 2022, the ‘Love
Story‘ singer said, “My brand new album comes out October 21.” Taking her fandom
by storm, she revealed how the songs would be covering 13 sleepless nights
scattered throughout her life. “Meet me at midnight” was her message.

While her announcement was coupled with the joy of winning an award, the singer
is known for her singing as well as songwriting prowess.

TAYLOR SWIFT WRITES HER DISCOGRAPHIES

One of the major highlights of the American singer’s albums is that she writes
all of them on her own. Apart from a few cover songs and two guest features, the
American singer wrote all her songs in her discography. This was something that
left the famous comedian, Andrew Schulz, in awe too.
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/music-news-four-million-andrew-schulz-hails-taylor-swift-days-after-attending-eras-tour-compares-the-grammy-winner-to-michael-jackson/]
Schulz was so taken aback by the sheer aura of Swift’s concerts that he felt
only Michael Jackson was comparable in her league. The ‘Blank Space‘ singer’s
‘Midnights’ was no different.

The touch of personal struggles with mental health added a tone of familiarity
that her followers found so endearing. In addition to this, Swift has never been
shy of speaking out for women’s rights and empowerment. Even in the 2022 MTV
Awards, she highlighted how all four directors of the nominee for the Video of
the Year were women.
