Over the years, Kanye West has not only built a hip-hop empire but has also infused his genius and fortune into creating a sprawling property portfolio. His stunning properties dot the landscapes of California, Wyoming, and beyond. In his prime, West aspired to be one of the biggest real estate developers ever. However, some recently released photos told a different story. These pictures gave a glimpse of the shocking decline of his construction legacy.

Kanye West’s Malibu property has been grabbing attention for quite some time, particularly regarding its sale at a $4 million loss. Now, the latest photos revealed the deteriorating conditions of several other properties belonging to Kanye West.

In a hushed transaction at the close of 2021, Kanye West acquired his Malibu beach house for a whopping $57.3 million. The rapper collaborated with contemporary minimalist architect Tadao Ando to design the beachfront property. Before listing it for sale, Kanye West stripped the interiors and did not renovate it either. Shortly after, Daily Mail showcased an abandoned $14m Wyoming ranch, a Northridge building, and a $3 million Hidden Hills estate in Calabasas in disrepair as well.

West purchased both the Wyoming and Calabasas ranches four years ago, and he bought the Northridge plot earlier this year. However, ever since Ye went off the rails, with his string of outlandish behaviors and offensive antisemitic outbursts, his billion-dollar career has gone down the drain. His real estate projects, especially those odd Star Wars-inspired ones, have turned to rubble. On the other hand, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian is forging ahead with her plans to develop an impressive property.

While Kanye West’s fortune may be facing a downturn, Kim Kardashian’s financial trajectory is on the rise. Not only has she achieved billionaire status, but she has also expanded her business ventures through her investment firm. Following in the footsteps of her ex-husband, the SKIMS mogul is now venturing into a dream project with the genius architect Tadao Ando. She took to Instagram in April, providing a glimpse into her design discussions with Ando about her future home.

The eighth photo in the carousel provided a sneak peek at her envisioned mansion, with 3D-rendered designs laid out on the office table. Kardashian mentioned that they have been collaborating on the project for over two years. According to documents uncovered by The Sun, Kardashian and Ando are set to construct a “space-ship style” mansion in California. As Kanye West’s property weathers a decline, Kim Kardashian is busy crafting her own real estate empire.
