While the anticipation pre and the hype post any Taylor Swift activity has always left audiences gobsmacked, the criteria for her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department' was a lot different. Having been her first original, not-rereleased album in four years, fans could not wait to hear Swift belt out some new never heard before tunes. Not to mention the insights into her breakup that the album would include.

'The Tortured Poets Department' has been released to a spectacular reception in terms of streaming and album sales owing to the Swifties. However, those who do not fall under the same umbrella as the Swifties and worse, some of the Swifties themselves have not been able to shake a leg to the album. While some blatantly questioned Swifties and how they continue to listen to the same tunes, others did not hold back in calling her songs "very basic."

Despite the outcry of criticisms regarding 'The Tortured Poets Department', fans of Taylor Swift have once again taken to the battleground with armors while using sarcasm as their weapon in remarks along the lines of "Yes, because reputation sounds exactly like this."
