Amidst the ongoing changes within the hip-hop community and the intense rap battles among top artists, the conversation has once again turned to the perennial debate of who reigns supreme. Leading the charge in this latest discussion is Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, who has resurfaced as a focal point, this time in a debate between Veeze and Zack Fox. While initially favored, Ye's position seems to be shifting, particularly with Veeze's recent change in allegiance.

As this raises questions about whether Ye is slipping from his pedestal in the ongoing debate about the Greatest of All Time, attention also gets directed towards this other rapper who appears to be garnering more fan favoritism than Ye.

In a recent installment of GOAT Talk on Complex featuring Veeze and Zack Fox, both rappers found themselves discussing the current GOAT rapper in the contemporary hip-hop scene, albeit somewhat reluctantly. While Veeze initially appeared hesitant to single out a specific artist, Fox confidently declared Lil Wayne as the undisputed champion.

In contrast, Veeze initially leaned towards Ye but seemed to align more closely with Fox's stance after his decisive proclamation. Veeze acknowledged the subjective nature of the topic, expressing no hard feelings towards Fox's preference for Wayne, as he himself is a fan of the legendary rapper. However, Veeze's swift transition from "Kanye" to "Wayne" raises eyebrows about whether this shift in allegiance is temporary or permanent.

Leaning on subjectivity, Wayne may have championed both Veeze and Fox. However, when it comes to Rich the Kid's comments about collaborating with them, his preference seemed to have leaned more towards Ye than Wayne.

In a recent interview with Complex, Rich the Kid offered insights into his upcoming album, 'Life's a Gamble,' where Ye and Ty Dolla $ign take on roles as executive producers. During the discussion, the rapper delved into various aspects of his collaboration with the Atlanta rapper, highlighting his experiences working with both Ye and Lil Wayne, the latter with whom he collaborated on 'Trust Fund Babies.'

Rich the Kid noted that the experiences were distinctly different, emphasizing that working with Ye involved a focus on "perfecting beats" and refining hooks in the studio, while with Wayne, it was more about consistently recording songs. He highlighted Ye's penchant for "reworking songs", a process that deviates significantly from his experiences with other rappers like Wayne. Thus, while Lil Wayne may be revered by some as the ultimate rap mogul, for others, Ye remains at the forefront because of his unique approach and attention to detail.
