Taking due cognizance of it, Harvard University has become one of the latest institutes of prestige to recognize and feel overwhelmed by her stature.

Owing to her influence in the arts and the course of modern artistic industry, Harvard University offers a course on the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer. However, taking to X, formerly Twitter, course instructor, Stephanie Burt shared her plea to the public. Posting that “Our Taylor Swift course at Harvard is so popular that we need additional teaching assistants,” Burt called out anyone who did “love Tay”.

Listed as ‘English 183ts. Taylor Swift and Her World’, the course, remains up for registrations for Harvard’s Spring Term 2024. The English Department’s course descriptions detailed an exploration of her music and lyrics’ cultural impact. Additionally, it would also look into pieces of literature that touch upon similar themes. Finally, the course would also help students understand fan culture, celebrity culture, adolescence, adulthood, and appropriation.

In the meantime, just in the States, she stands to have generated over $4.5 billion in consumer spending. Now, with 2024 taking the tour to Australia in February, ticket and merchandise sales have sky-rocketed. Additionally, hotel bookings, food, and consumer businesses already stand with a haul of over $126 million. Australians are likely to spend over $326 million for the tours, once again, signifying her popularity.
