Taylor Swift Reveals The Crazy Planning She Did to Marry ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ with Eras Tour

Taylor Swift has officially restarted her Eras Tour, and how! The songstress has been blowing Paris away with one surprise after another since she hit Europe. But before diving into this leg, the pop star took a two-month breather, during which she seemed to have spent some of her best days with beau Travis Kelce, who was also taking a break from his NFL training. Yet, there was more to the story than what met the eye.

The billionaire was not just out partying and vacationing during her hiatus. It seems she has been carefully putting together the gems to make her Eras Tour shine even brighter after the break.

The Eras tour took a hiatus for a few weeks after Taylor Swift wrapped her shows in Japan, Australia, and Singapore earlier this year. But she did not just sit around twiddling her thumbs during that break. The singer surprised fans with 31 new tracks when she dropped 'The Tortured Poets Department', and then shortly after, she hit them with the extended Anthology edition. Swift revealed to her Paris audience that the release came together during the hiatus. When we had a 2 month break we really didn’t take any time off,” the 34-year-old said.

As Swift takes to the stage for the European leg of her tour, the setlist is still in flux. The tour resumed on Thursday with a show in France, where she debuted several songs from ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, though at the expense of some older hits. To compensate, the singer is adding even more tracks from her latest release to the live performance. And just recently, she threw in two extra surprises for her fans.

In Paris, on Friday night, Taylor Swift took to the stage for the second time in a row, treating her dedicated Swifties to a special live debut. She seamlessly made a mashup of the vault track 'Is It Over Now?' from '1989 (Taylor’s Version)' with the beloved single 'Out of the Woods' from the same album. For Swifties, it felt like the biggest achievement of their lives.

For those who missed out on the surprise songs, their disappointment echoed across social media platforms like X. Swift still has two more nights to enchant Paris this Saturday and Sunday before jetting off to Stockholm next week. With tour dates in Lisbon and Madrid lined up for the remainder of May, only time will tell what more surprises the songstress has in store for fans.
