After the release of 'The Tortured Poets Department' on April 19, Taylor Swift promptly circled back to express gratitude to her team and collaborator Post Malone, particularly for their work on ‘Fortnight,’ the track that famously featured her taking on the 'Fortnight' challenge. Taking to her social media platforms, the pop sensation reminisced about the time when the music video was merely a concept in her diary, expressing her initial desire to bring to life the vivid worlds she envisioned.

Reflecting on the video's creation, she found that every missing piece came together to form the "perfect visual representation" of the album, for which she credited the "tortured tragic hero," Post Malone.
