In a recent interview with Variety, Suki Waterhouse revealed that playing keyboardist Karen Sirko in Daisy Jones & The Six was the catalyst that pushed her to seriously pursue music.

"I was suddenly learning piano in a very serious way for hours and hours a day," she explained, describing the intensive training she underwent to authentically portray the character. The pandemic became the unexpected turning point.

"And then the pandemic happened, and I was back in London, stuck here for a year with all those new tools in front of me," Waterhouse said. The London lockdown trapped her in her hometown for a year, but instead of feeling confined, she found herself surrounded by the musical skills she'd just developed. That isolation sparked clarity.

"I had that moment of realizing, I really want to finally put together my first piece of work," Waterhouse revealed. The combination of her Daisy Jones training and the London lockdown gave her the focus and tools she needed. What began as character preparation for a TV show transformed into a genuine artistic calling, pushing the actress to finally create her own music rather than just pretending to play it on screen.

Reports suggest Swift and Kelce became engaged in 2025, with speculation pointing to a 2026 ceremony in New York City, although details remain unconfirmed. For Waterhouse, the event represents both a major cultural moment and a chance to observe how a large-scale wedding comes together. It also aligns with her own engagement to Robert Pattinson, which was announced in December 2023.

Waterhouse has a strong personal connection with Swift that goes beyond admiration. She previously opened for the Eras Tour during Swift’s London shows, an experience she described as life-changing. She praised Swift for uplifting other artists and turning personal struggles into creative output, qualities she clearly respects.
