According to The Sun’s recent report, citing British authorities, Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with causing bodily harm in an alleged altercation. The singer was taken into custody from The Lowry Hotel in Manchester over a reported attack against music producer, Abe Diaw, at the Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February 2023. “The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on February 2023,” the Met detectives said.
Detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit are overseeing the investigation. According to Diaw’s complaint, the R&B star attacked him without any provocation at around 3 AM while he and his entourage were at the nightclub. The producer told the outlet, “he hit me over the head two or three times,” and his knees collapsed. Diaw was rushed to the hospital and had to rely on crutches upon being discharged.
Legal troubles are not really news in Hollywood. However, the charges against Chris Brown come with a hefty price tag.
Chris Brown might have to pay millions of dollars in damages over the London Club incident
According to The Sun, the alleged altercation between Chris Brown and Abe Diaw took place while the former was on a world tour and performing in the UK. Diaw has reportedly launched a civil claim against the R&B singer, demanding $16 million in damages for injuries and losses caused by the alleged attack.
