Katy Perry recently attended the screening of her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour Live in Paris. During the Q&A session at the event, the singer reminisced about the 80-year-old music icon and praised her contribution to music as well as her philanthropic work. She also went on to share a few heartfelt words about how Parton has inspired millions of people through her music.

“She was an Earth Angel, so I think her legacy is one to follow and look up to forever, and I just think it's going to continue to expand, and I think everyone should emulate her,” the 'Dark Horse' singer said. “She's kind of like the bar,” Perry added.

Urging her fans to discover more of Parton’s music, Perry added during the Q&A session that the "9 to 5" singer was one of the most legendary songwriters of all time. Apart from the screening event, the singer also paid tribute to Parton during her show in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She went on to describe the 'Jolene' singer as kind, funny, and immensely talented.

Much like Katy Perry, Pitbull also took a moment during his show at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater to pay tribute to Parton. He addressed the crowd and said that he wanted to shout out to someone who “believed” in him when many others did not and gave him an opportunity. Dolly Parton’s legacy will live on not only through her timeless music but also through the love and inspiration she shared with generations.
