Selena Gomez expresses heartfelt gratitude to her 'idol

Selena Gomez Graciously Thanks Her ‘Idol’ at AFI Awards for Making Her ‘Feel Seen and Heard’

In the wild world of fame, Selena Gomez shines as the poster child for humility.
She is not just a pop sensation but also carries a soft spot for Nobel laureate
Malala Yousafzai. Gomez, riding high on her acting passion, dove into the acting
scene with her Hulu hit, Only Murders in the Building alongside Meryl Streep.
Working with Streep was like catching lightning in a bottle for Gomez, injecting
a dose of magic into her artistic journey.

Recently in the AFI luncheon, Gomez and Streep shared more than just a meal; a
moment practically dipped in stardust. Instagram became Gomez’s canvas as she
painted a picture of gratitude for her ‘idol’ and co-star, Streep.

AN ODE BY SELENA GOMEZ

Selena Gomez’s journey from teary-eyed admiration during Streep’s rehearsals to
raising a toast is nothing short of a star-studded saga. Gomez wore her heart on
her sleeve, openly declaring Meryl Streep as her true idol, showering her with
adoration and looking up to her like a beacon of inspiration. The Instagram
story

became Gomez’s personal stage, a virtual theater where she showcased her
deep-seated respect for Streep, sharing a captivating snapshot from the AFI
Awards.

In the caption, Gomez spun magic with her words, proclaiming Streep not just as
an idol but also a wonderful soul. The photo was a visual symphony, capturing
the essence of Gomez’s gratitude. She felt blessed to have Streep in her orbit.
The story unfolded like a heartfelt ode, with Gomez extending her thanks to
Streep for consistently making her ‘seen and heard,’ transforming the Hollywood
narrative into a tale of admiration and genuine connection.

In Gomez’s Hollywood journey, Meryl Streep did not just play a role; she was the
magic wand that made the world a better place for Gomez. However, a
misconception lingered among Gomez’s co-stars- they had a preconceived notion
that she might be annoying and high-maintenance.

THE HILARIOUS NOTION OF GOMEZ

Gomez, who is all set to star in Linda Ronstadt biopic
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-music-news-what-is-the-status-of-the-selena-gomez-starrer-linda-ronstadt-biopic-production-filming-cast-and-other-updates/]
spilled the beans on her tight-knit connection with Steve Martin and Martin
Short, her co-stars in the Hulu series. When quizzed about whether she sensed
any intimidation from the seasoned duo, the ‘Come and Get It’ sensation humbly
dismissed the notion. She emphasized her status as a relative newcomer in the
industry.

Gomez playfully acknowledged that, compared to the iconic duo, she fell short on
the coolness scale. Moreover, she considered herself a “newbie” still finding
her footing. According to her, Martin and Short never hinted at intimidation but
rather, amusingly, thought she might be “annoying and high-maintenance.” The
singer wittily concluded that if she managed to win their approval, she must not
be any of those things.
