“RELEASE IT NOW!”- Fans Cannot Wait for Ye to Jump in the Kendrick Lamar-Drake Beef With a Remix Track

Published 04/19/2024, 9:00 PM EDT

The odds of the biggest rap feud of 2024 happening without Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, getting in on the action were way too slim. It has been ages since fans had a proper rap beef, but Kendrick Lamar went and melted his Cold War with Drake and J. Cole–not with some social media drama, but with raw bars. And just while J. Cole apologized for his verse on '7 Minute Drill,' the drama still continues as Ye seems to have been sharpening his knives, ready to jump in.

The hottest gossip around town is that Ye may have cooked up a remix for ‘Like That’ by Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar. Just in case it slipped anyone's mind, ‘Like That’ was the track where Lamar supposedly fired shots at Drake and J. Cole. These whispers originated from X user adam22, who bragged about having the remix but was "forbidden" to leak it. It all came out nearly a month after Ye made headlines with a fiery post aiming at his fellow rappers and reminding everyone of his legacy and comeback.

On March 28, he took to Instagram with an explosive post, bragging about outshining Kendrick Lamar on their collaboration 'No More Parties in L.A.' from 'The Life of Pablo'. He did not stop there. Ye also claimed that he “washed” Drake during their 2021 Larry Hoover Benefit concert at the Los Angeles Coliseum. After claiming to have invented every music genre of the past two decades, Ye made sure to remind fans of his contributions and his resurgence to chart-topping glory.

Now, fans can not help but speculate how intense this beef could become if Ye decides to join the feud, considering his history with the artists involved.

Fans anticipate Ye's entry into the rap beef with the sickest bars

Internet detectives have been deep in speculation about a rap civil war brewing after recent events. With the beef finally taking shape, Ye appeared to have aligned himself with one side, and his choice hardly shocked anyone. Making a subtle statement on Instagram, Ye dropped his 2016 hit 'No More Parties In LA' featuring Kendrick Lamar. While some fans brushed it off as him simply enjoying some nostalgia, the timing seemed too calculated. And now, this new rumor is further confirming Ye's alliance in the beef.

Many fans flooded X with demands for the immediate release of the remix track of 'Like That'.

Meanwhile, there were skeptics among the crowd who simply could not buy into the rumor.

Whether the rumor is true or not, remains to be seen. Nevertheless, Ye is currently occupied with the remaining volumes of his ‘Vultures’ album. Given that he has already missed the album release deadline, it is quite unlikely he would shift focus to another project at this stage.
