RapTV recently announced that the ‘Donda’ singer’s album ‘Graduation’ sold 500k
units in 2023. The bestselling album also features some of his famous singles,
such as ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’ and ‘Stronger.’ The latter is one of his biggest
hits and highest-selling songs. It featured collaborations with Lil Wayne, Chris
Martin, Dwele, T-Pain, and more artists. Because of its dramatic musical shift,
the 2007 album significantly raised Kanye West’s prominence.

The Chicago-based singer’s album is also famous for its highly publicized feud
with 50 Cent’s album ‘Curtis’. The release of both albums at the same time
created a great advertising situation for both artists. Despite being a newer
and lesser-known performer, Kanye was already seen as an underdog when he was
competing with 50 Cent, who ruled the charts at the time. But to everybody’s
surprise, ‘Graduation’ triumphed over ‘Curtis’ with West selling over half a
million copies on its very first day.
