With all eyes on what the pair might hold in their tank as the executive producers for this album, there remains high nods of anticipation despite the disappointment concerning their albums. Particularly, with Rich the Kid earning the first No.1 hit of his career by teaming up with the pair for ‘Carnival’ from ‘Vultures’, 2024 makes the perfect time for his new album.

Keeping the momentum going, therefore, the American rapper spilled the beans about ‘Life’s a Gamble’s’ possible release date in a recent interview. 

In a recent interview with Complex, Rich the Kid shed much-needed light on his upcoming album, ‘Life’s a Gamble’ where Ye and Ty Dolla $ign serve as the executive producers. The rapper opened up about many things, including the album’s potential debut date, its contents, and more. While there were several highlights of the interview, the one to grab eyeballs the most was the possible timeline for the album, which he responded to with an assurance that it will release “very, very soon”, within the “next two months”. 

Not just that, the rapper was also quizzed about his biggest takeaway from working with the ‘Donda' rapper for this album as he serves as the executive producer, to which he replied with delight. As per Rich the Kid, although there is no end to the lessons Ye brings in with his music, the one that resonated the most with him was the concept of “elevating the sound to the top of the top”. If one manages to crack that hack, he said, “It’s got to be right, sh*t got to be perfect”.

As the dialogue progressed, the interviewer also decided to assess the experience of Rich the Kid collaborating with Ye as opposed to collaborating with other rappers, such as Lil Wayne, for the album 'Trust Fund Babies'.

When Rich the Kid made waves with the first-ever No. 1 hit of his career with Ye and Playboi Carti for ‘Carnival’, at the moment one could have barely guessed that the pair would be teaming up for another project in almost no time. Although for Rich the Kid, this is not the first time working with a rhyme master since he has worked with Lil Wayne on ‘Trust Fund Babies’ “it’s just way different” when put on scales. Hence, in the same interview, when the rapper was quizzed about the same, he chose to decipher why it is so different. 

Kid said, working with Wayne was more about keeping on with “recording songs” but with Ye, it was about “perfecting beats and changing hooks” when in the studio. Moreover, with the Atlanta rapper, more importance was given to “reworking songs” and getting the “perfect beat” which are just “two different processes” when compared to rappers like Wayne. Hence, with ‘Life’s a Gamble’ releasing in two months, even fans will get a chance to notice the pointers, and for the ones awaiting ‘Vultures 2’, Ye’s steadfastness in getting the beats correct could serve as a potential reason for the delay.
