Lady Gaga shocked her Montreal audience when she canceled her final performance at the Bell Centre due to a respiratory infection. She posted an emotional message on Instagram where she apologized to her fans and described her feelings of being devastated and heartbroken about the decision. The singer revealed she had been battling a respiratory infection for several days, which worsened just hours before the concert.

"To everyone who was coming tonight, I am absolutely heartbroken and so sorry," Gaga wrote on her Instagram Story after explaining her condition and expressing her regret.

The singer revealed that her condition worsened despite trying her best to rest and recover. However, her doctor prohibited her from performing, the advice Gaga took with a grain of salt, considering how she lacked the ability to deliver the quality of performance that her fans expected from her. The canceled concert marked the final Montreal stop on her tour, which made the moment more emotional for both the singer and her fans.

“I know how deeply disappointing this is. And I truly could not feel worse about letting you down. I’m so sorry to everyone who made plans to be there and support me,” the singer added, expressing her deep regret about the canceled show. 

As Lady Gaga focuses on healing, there is no confirmation on whether the Montreal date will be rescheduled. Meanwhile, her upcoming stage return would demand her fast recovery for her to come back stronger and ready to perform again, as the Mayhem Ball Tour is far from being over.

Lady Gaga has sung her swansong across Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America through her successful Mayhem Ball tour. And now it is in its final stretch. The tour officially ends on April 13, 2026, with three last stops remaining. She is set to perform on April 9, 2026, and April 10, 2026, at Saint Paul, Minnesota (Grand Casino Arena).

Following this, the 16-time Grammy winner is set to end her tour in New York City with a performance at Madison Square Garden on April 13, 2026. For an artist of Gaga's stature, maintaining quality throughout her entire professional life is as essential as lyrical depth to her sassy beats. Fans can only hope for her full recovery to close the tour on a high note.
